Installation of cmdlets doesn't seem to be working

Nov 12, 2010 at 9:58 AM

I'm confused as to what I need to do to use the cmdlets properly but please bear in mind that I'm not an expert when it comes to PowerShell.

The Import-Module command works without error and, after running it, I can run get-command -module smlets and I get a list of the commands.

However, if I run get-scsmincident or get-scsmincident -status "Active", I don't get any output, despite the fact that I have 7 active incidents.

Also, if I close the PowerShell console window and open a new one, get-scsmincident is no longer recognised. Do I need to add the Import-Module command to a profile file?

Thanks.

Resolved it ... the account I was running the get-scsmincident command under didn't have permission to see the incidents!

Oh, lordy, what it is to be a newbie :-)
